Branscombe Airfield is a private airfield and but for the exception of organised fly in events and The Air Display and Classic Car Show, is severely restricted in annual movements (500). There are 5 resident aircraft and therefore the airfield is sadly not open to visiting pilots unless they are visiting the airfield for business or flying in to use the static caravan. PPR is essential for all visiting pilots and the landing fee is £40 with £15 overnight parking.
 
The runway orientation is 10/28 and the airfield elevation is 500' above msl. The radio frequency is SAFETYCOM: 135.475 Mhz. The area is prone to advection fog from its vicinity with the coast and this can often roll in and stay over the airfield even when the rest of the local area is CAVOK. There are large trees at the end of R10 and there is also wind shear on the approach to R28, so extreme caution is advised when using this airfield. Flight Information may be obtained in the East from Yeovilton Radar on 127.350; North on Exeter Radar on 128.975 or South and West on Exeter Approach 119.050.
